Earth Day - Outdoor Learning

Our Earth Day celebration will include:
Pond Area Revamp: Students will participate in enhancing the school's pond area, fostering a hands-on approach to environmental stewardship.
Marshmallow Toasting: A delightful outdoor activity where children can toast marshmallows, combining fun with nature.
Environmental Education: Children will learn about caring for the outdoor environment, promoting sustainability and ecological awareness.
Special Visitor from the Local Bee Centre: A representative from the local bee centre will visit, providing insights into the importance of bees and their role in the ecosystem.
Honey Tasting: Students will have the opportunity to taste local honey, connecting them to local produce and the benefits of supporting local agriculture.
Outdoor Picnic Lunch: Children will enjoy a picnic-style lunch outdoors, embracing the natural surroundings.
Additional Information:
Contribution: A £2.50 contribution is requested to support the bee centre's educational initiatives. Payments can be made via School Spider.
Dress Code: Children are encouraged to wear outdoor clothing suitable for getting dirty, ensuring they can fully engage in all activities.
