Salary: £23,114 - £23,893 pro rata

An opportunity has arisen at Brindle Gregson Lane Primary School to join our school as a Welfare Assistant on a permanent basis.
Working 5.83 hours per week, 11:50am - 1:00pm, term time only
We are looking for individuals with a passion for working with children who can:
- Work as part of the supervision team in securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during lunchtime.
- Supervise pupils in the dining room, including the organisation of the lunch queue and managing the areas where students are eating.
- Supervise pupils on the playground
- Clean and tidy the dining areas, ensuring that the dining room is kept clean throughout and after lunchtime.
- Set up and take down the seating area within the dining room.
- With support, manage student behaviour at lunchtime
- With support, supervise and manage student behaviour around school and in the playground areas, including ensuring that pupils follow our rules
- Any other duties as required.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure the effective upkeep of the school premises and grounds. We are looking for experience in setting up and contributing to repairs and maintenance programmes, working to Health and Safety legislation at all times and an ability demonstrate a wide range of practical skills. Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant will be a positive, dynamic and highly motivated individual with personal drive. You will be a self-starter, who can work with minimal supervision; proactive, with the ability to see what needs to be done and to prioritise work accordingly. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with all members of our Trust community.

ROLE DETAILS
This position is part time, permanent and all year round. 26 days annual leave plus all bank holidays.
The working pattern for this role is 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 7am-9:30am and 1:30pm-6pm (5:30pm finish on Fridays)
We are open to negotiation on the working pattern stated above.
